The Role Of Pakistan Television In The Dramatic Formation Of Selected Urdu Short Stories

Abstract

Brief urdu short stories were particularly  considered capable  of   attention when Television started in Pakistan . Many  short stories  were  dramatizedand because of the programmes of Ptv got popularity. Reflection of   briefurdu short stories on PTV screen was also necessary in the sense  that   newgeneration might develop dedication to buy and read books and literary journals.This is also a way to promote literature and this way is effective.Here is discussion on adaptation of  urdu short stories  by   the famous writers of  Pakistan.
